Santa Train

Adam and I had a chance to go on the Santa Train that starts here in Orrville and heads to Lodi and back late Saturday afternoon.

Along for the ride was my brother and his family and then his wife's sister and her family.

It was a lot of fun!

Home For the Holidays

Friday, our little town of Orrville opened up the streets so people could walk from business to business. I belong to the "Young Professionals Group" of Orrville(only have 5 more years and then I'm kicked out)and we were serving Smith Dairy Icecream and hot cocoa.

Mrs. Claus decided to make a stop and Adam and I jumped in the picture. Mrs. Claus asked Adam what he wanted for Christmas and Adam just happened to have a Bakugan(the hottest toy this year) and showed her it. He also asked her to ask the elves to product many many many more so Wal*Mart, KMart and Toysrus would not be sold out every time he went there. She checked it out so she would have the right information to tell those elves. Then she asked if she could have a picture with him and even asked me to join in because she has known me since I was a little girl.

After that was all done and she had moved on to the next child, Adam looked up at me and said "Mommy, that was the real Mrs. Claus." Right there my friends was the spirit of Christmas. I saw it in my own child's eyes the belief and no doubt!!! That right there made my whole Holiday
season.

Thankful

I wanted to post this yesterday but didn't get to it.

I'm so thankful for my family and friends. Without them there would be nobody to share a joyful moment or a sad moment. I'm very thankful that everyone is healthy.

So if you are reading this, thank you for being you!!

((HUGS)) to all.

I thought I would share Adam's 2nd grade picture that we just got.

Adam's accomplishment

Well, Adam got a new lego set for his birthday that had over 900 pieces in it. He started in Sunday night and has been working on it ever since(wasn't home Monday night to work on it). SO I though I would share his accomplishment.

So now tomorrow night, if daddy is feeling up to it, we will head to Wally World and buy a Nintendo DS with his birthday money.

Who Who..Trick or Treat

Well if you work with me, you'll get one of these little guys. They are so easy and so much fun to make!!!

All punches from Stampin Up and how ironic the M & M's go with the paper!! I found this idea at Splitcoast as well!!!

Thanksgiving Layout

Here is the layout we did this month.

I did get most of these ideas from Splitcoast, just changed a few colors. Put my own touch to it:)

I like this little turkey. He's made out of SU punches.
For the title of the page, we used a punch and then put twine through the loops we made from a punch!

Halloween layout

For some reason this blog is not liking me tonight....instead of uploading the picture all I get is a bunch of garbage...so forgive me for having a few posts today...

This was our pages we did in September for trick or treat. The second page is a little blury, sorry about that.

Catching Up

Good evening! What a day...did some long over due cleaning.

Jeff is in the not so comfortable feeling stage right now. Tried to convince him that I need to stay home another day from work to take care of him, but he wouldn't go for it.

I wanted to share with you what my Stampin Club has been doing as far as scrapbooking, so if you are not into it, skip.

Well, I had a little down time tonight, so I forgot about a swap that I signed up for on Splitcoaststampers, so I needed to get that done b/c I have to put it in the mail by tomorrow!

So here is my card for the night. I actually made 10 of them, only need 6, but hey, you can always use a card:)

Jeff

Well Jeff made it through his surgery!!! Wish I would of taken my camera....how cute he looked in a shower cap and sexy gown!!! He is now home and asleep:)

Thanks for all the prayers and well wishes. I'm off to do catch up around here. Who knows maybe I'll be creative and make something and share!!!

Daddy came to the rescue yesterday and went out and got him a lego set and a webkinz. All was good.

Hopefully this week I will try and be prompt and post...hahaha...

Jeff goes in Tuesday for Gallbladder removal, so I will be home with him Tuesday and Wednesday.

Have a great Sunday!!!

Slider Time

Slider the mascot of the Cleveland Indians came to Heartland Point for their 2 year anniversary and my awesome babysitter took Adam to see him and got this picture. Of course Adam also took home all the balloons pictured plus more.

Smith Dairy Track Meet

Adam was able to participate in a local track meet for younger kids.

He ran in the 100 meter dash and did the standing long jump.

He earned 2 certificates!

This is the family that joined us at the meal.

My Sister-in-law, her mother and sister. My Aunt and her 2 daughters and my cousin's mother-in-law.

It was such a nice day!

Mother's Day 2008

My mom and I try to go to our church's All Daughter Banquet each year. This year the men made and served the meal to over 100 women.

Dad's 61st birthday

This is my Dad's 61st birthday gathering...my brother in the last picture with his middle son Roger and then of course my dad in the 2nd picture. Adam in the middle picture.

Trying not to sound like an advertisement, BUT I'm teaching a class at Heartland Point in Orrville, and this is the quart paint can we are making, filled with chocolates.
